THE GRILLE AT MORRISON HOUSE

From January 17 - 21, Chef Dennis Marron will serve a very special meal, with a little inspiration from the inauguration dinner of a past president.  Chef Marron's ‘Ode to Lincoln's Inauguration Dinner' will feature a modernized interpretation of dishes served at Abraham Lincoln's second inaugural dinner in March 1865.  Some menu items include an appetizer of patés served with port syrup, grilled pheasant with shoe string potato and huckleberry jam, venison carpaccio, brandy marinated top round with cipollini onion marmalade and served with crispy potatoes.  Diners can finish their meal with a dessert of almond sponge cake and coffee ice cream.  The dinner will be flexible with an a la carte menu option, a four-course prix fixe option for $65 and a 7-course prix fixe for $95.  **Note:  The Congressional Inaugural Committee just released details on the Inaugural Luncheon menu, which is built on a very similar theme.
