With five Metro stations and hotels to suit every taste, Alexandria is the gateway to Greater Washington D.C.
Since April 1st, I have provided over 360,119 free rides, up and down Historic King Street with frequent stops for hopping off to check out the shops, restaurants and attractions.

What makes you original and unique?
My cheery red color and my name in glistening gold, I welcome my passengers with my old-fashioned interior, and a distinctive brass bell.
Who or what inspired you to come to Alexandria?
The opportunity to show off Alexandria to my friends and visitors.
What is your secret to success?
Being free and convenient. I operate along the one-and-a-half-mile route seven days a week from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., providing access to accommodations, dining, entertainment and shopping. Every 15 minutes, riders can board at King Street near the Potomac River waterfront, the King Street Metrorail station, or at any of the 20 stops along King Street.
What is your proudest achievement?
Being part of the City's efforts to manage congestion, reduce mobile emissions, and encourage residents and visitors to choose options other than driving alone.
